1: If you currently use a management system or a new Content Management System will replace static pages be careful to not forget your existing pages however populated have already been cataloged by the Search Engines. Removing those pages or changing the links (URL address) of those pages will mean the Search Engines will think the information no longer exist.
2: Changing the navigation scheme of your site can adversely affect both Bookmarked pages people have saved and the ability for the search engines to find the existing pages it uses in search results. Make sure you keep a link to the existing page(s) or forward people to the new page when they go to a page that no longer exists.
3: The intent of any website is for us to get the visitor to do something. This aspect takes into account:
- What are your current visitors doing, what pages are they going to, what Keywords did they use to find you?
- If the purpose of the redesign is to optimize your site first pick your Keywords and design around them. The most often overlooked aspect of a redesign is the Title tag of each page.

- The design of your site will also affect visitor and search engine response, Remember, valuable content is king.
