As with websites, content is king. the same is true with FaceBook and Twitter.
If you are starting out posting to your Blog, FaceBook or Twitter here are some quick places to find great content:
- Frequently Asked Questions
- Answers you have provided via email
- Content from other peoples blogs, articles and websites — Just make sure you give proper credit
- Content from a seminar
Ideas on what content to develop:
- Experiences you have / Hobbies / Specialties
- What your clients or prospects need or are talking about
- What other people are writing about, but with a different twist with something original
I also get ideas from doing surveys, most of the time they are impromptu while I am shopping, out to dinner, walking in the park I’ll ask people I run in to, what they think about this or that, or what would they do if… You can do the same. Most people will take a minute to tell you what they think.
Remember to always Brand yourself, always
When developing new content we discussed:
- Make it original
- Make it short
- Make it re-usable
- Make it shareable
- Create a process and rhythm
- Post content daily if possible
We also discussed a couple of Email strategies and facts to be aware of.
